$25,000 reward offered to find men who robbed postal employee at gunpoint

Authorities say robbers snatched postal key from mail carrier in Franklin Park

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrests and convictions of two men who robbed a postal employee at gunpoint last month.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service announced the reward Wednesday and released a sketch of one of the men.

Federal authorities said the mail carrier was on her break at an apartment complex on Northwest Seventh Court in the Franklin Park neighborhood, when two men approached her, demanding her keys. Authorities said the thieves, one of whom was wearing a mask and armed with a gun, grabbed a postal key and fled in a black late-model Nissan Altima.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455.
