2 shot at Davie barber shop, police say

Victims shot multiple times after dispute at Top Notch Barber Shop

DAVIE, Fla. – Two men were shot Friday after a dispute at a barber shop in Davie, police said.

Sky 10 flew above the scene as police tape surrounded the parking lot of Top Notch Barber Shop, 4270 Davie Road.

Davie police said a group of people got into a fight inside the barber shop and were told to leave. No employees appeared to be involved in the dispute.

Police said two men were shot multiple times outside the barber shop.

"I heard four shots, and then I told my customer that it sounded like gunshots," Danny Llamas said. "Then we looked around to see if we saw anybody running. We didn't see anybody running."

Authorities said one of the victims was shot in the stomach and one was shot in the back.

The victims were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital.

Police said the shooter drove away in a 2015 white Lexus.

A banner outside the barber shop touted Top Notch as the "Home of the $10 haircuts," but it was not immediately known what the dispute was about.

Davie police Capt. Dale Engle said detectives believe that the gunman was known to the victims.

No arrests have been made.
