HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A Hollywood man escaped an oncoming train after his car stalled on the tracks Tuesday night. His car, however, wasn't so lucky.
Hollywood Professional Firefighters spokesman Anthony Vera said the driver was crossing Sheridan Street when it stalled and a freight train slammed into his car, also demolishing the railroad crossing arm.

Vera said the train came to an abrupt stop after the crash, and causing traffic delays that stretched from Sitirling Road to Fillmore Street.
Hollywood Fire Rescue responded to the scene and evaluated the driver, who had escaped his car before the train hit it. No injuries were reported.
The train remained at the scene for more than an hour while Hollywood police and inspectors with the Florida East Coast Railroad investigated the incident.
