MIAMI – A usually busy Biscayne Boulevard was shut down in both directions for most of Sunday morning after a man's body was found on a sidewalk.
"I was just driving by and just saw him laid out," Oscar Aguilera said. "I can't believe nobody stopped and called it in."
Aguilera is the good Samaritan who pulled over and called for help.
"When I saw him not moving in a puddle of blood, I kind of knew he wasn't doing alright," Aguilera said.
The man was already dead, his body just feet away from a CrossFit gym at 81st Street and Biscayne Boulevard.
"I usually work out here and I live around here, so I don't feel safe," Maria Nordlund said.
Homicide detectives spent hours retracing the man's footsteps and speaking with witnesses.
One witness told Local 10 News he saw the victim running for at least a mile before he collapsed in the spot where his body was found by police and paramedics.
Figuring out what happened is now up to investigators.
