HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A boat carrying a group of Cuban migrants washed ashore in Hollywood Friday afternoon, authorities said.
Sky 10 was above the scene at South Ocean Drive and Azalea Terrace as a small boat was spotted on the sand.
Coast Guard officials said they received a report of a boat carrying migrants heading to shore, but when they arrived the boat had already washed ashore and no migrants were found.
After a quick search, authorities found eight men from Cuba who made it to shore.
Authorities said the men will be processed by immigration officials.
