Fire breaks out inside Fort Lauderdale restaurant

DAPUR Asian Tapas and Lounge to remain closed Tuesday

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A Fort Lauderdale restaurant caught fire shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters said they extinguished the flames in 20 minutes.

DAPUR Asian Tapas and Lounge, 1620 N. Federal Highway, was expected to remain closed Tuesday due to the significant damage.

No one was inside at the time, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
