$5K reward offered for information leading to arrests in Hollywood armed robberies

Robberies occurred within 1 week of one another, police say

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Officials are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of three men believed to have been involved in two armed robberies that occurred within a week in September, Hollywood officials said.

The first robbery took place about 6:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at a Subway in the 2300 block of Hollywood Boulevard. Police said the three men waited inside the restaurant until all of the customers left, which is when one of the men pulled a gun on an employee.

The victim was told to stand back as the robbers opened the cash register and took about $400 before leaving the area on foot, police said.

Police said they believe at least two of the robbers in the incident are also responsible for a Sept. 19 armed robbery at a Shell gas station in the 800 block of North Federal Highway.

The first robber is described as 18 to 20 years old, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black T-shirt with red writing across the top and black and white sneakers. He was also wearing a black nylon skull cap, which he rolled down onto his face prior to committing the robbery, police said, adding that he used a black handgun during the incident.

The second robber is described as being in his early 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a partial beard and a medium build. He was last seen wearing dark blue shorts, a black V-neck T-shirt, black sneakers, black hat and armed with a handgun.

The third robber is in his early 20s, 5 feet 9 inches all, has a partial beard and a medium build. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black T-shirt, black sneakers and a faded green baseball cap with a white emblem in the center.

The robbers were also seen in a newer model, four-door, midsize sedan, which may be silver.
