PARKLAND, Fla. – A 57-year-old Margate man was killed Tuesday in an early morning crash.
Jody Baron was killed in the single-vehicle crash that occurred about 2:50 a.m. in the 6400 block of North Pine Island Road in Parkland.

Broward Sheriff's Office detectives said the Hyundai Elantra became engulfed in flames after it veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
Baron was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
