MIAMI – Five people were injured in a drive-by shooting in Miami that sent five people to the hospital.
The shooting happened about 6 p.m. on Northwest Second Avenue.
Miami police said a group of people were standing outside a home when a black sport utility vehicle drove by and someone inside began shooting at the crowd.
All five victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in critical but stable condition.
"We know that all of them were talking to us, which is a good sign," Miami Department of Fire-Rescue Lt. Ignatius Carroll told Local 10 News.
Officer Frederica Burden said the victims were cooperating with police.
Horace Bryant told Local 10 that one of the victims was his 17-year-old son, Julian Bryant. He said his son was shot in the arm and leg.
The other victims were identified Monday as Rodney Keaton, Derrick Collie, Deandre Benjamin and Marvin Lewis King.
Investigators are looking for the SUV that was last seen traveling north on Northwest Second Court.
