MIAMI – One man was killed and another hurt when a gunman shot at a car early Monday morning in northwest Miami-Dade.
Officers responded to 1590 NW 81st Terrace about 4 a.m. after neighbors reported hearing gunshots.
"I was taking a shower this morning, so my back window was up, so I lift the window and I heard gunshots," said Barbara Wilson.
"I don't even know what happened," added Sonya Wright. "It's rough out here."
When they arrived, the officers found two men who had been shot. One of them, a 43-year-old man, was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived.
Wilson said she had been in a relationship with the man who was killed and that he had been living with her.
"He never came back," she said. "I ain't never seen him from yesterday
The other victim, a 30-year-old man, was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition, said Det. Alvaro Zabaleta. The man had been shot in the chest.
