MARGATE, Fla. – Police are investigating the death of a couple who were found with gunshot wounds at a home in Margate.
Officers responded to the home at 2587 NW 62nd Ave. Wednesday morning, and discovered what they believe was a murder-suicide.

Police said the bodies of Gina Whitfield, 50, and Franklin Garcia, 42, were found by a friend of the family after Whitfield didn't show up for work.
Detectives believe Franklin shot Whitfield and then killed himself after an argument.
Police said the couple had a history of domestic violence and domestic disturbance incidents dating back to early 2013.
