HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Duran Duran brought the "Paper Gods" tour to the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood on Wednesday and fans were dancing the night away!
The "core four" of Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Roger Taylor and Nick Rhodes are all in their 50s, but you couldn't tell it by the way they were rocking onstage! Simon and John in particular were full of energy; running up and down the stage and getting fans into the music.
There was no opening act. Duran Duran took the stage just after 8 p.m. playing the title track off their new album, "Paper Gods", which was well received by the crowd. Then, they went right into "Wild Boys" to the delighted roars from fans!
The band kept things moving quickly, with very little stage banter in between songs. The show was a mix of some of their greatest hits, combined with selected new songs like "Only In Dreams" and "Pressure Off". They even reached WAY back into their catalog; playing "Careless Memories" , the 2nd single they released back in 1981!
Fans were loving every second of the show; dancing in the aisles, in their seats, wherever they could find some space to get into the groove! A Duran Duran show is always a great party and this was no exception! Don't miss the boys the next time they come around!
