10 injured during deputy-involved crash in Broward

List of Sunrise Boulevard crash victims increases from 9 to 10

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – A deputy-involved crash injured ten people — including a child and a pregnant woman — on Saturday in Broward County.

According to the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, the crash was at about 10:45 a.m., at Northwest 27 Avenue and West Sunrise Boulevard.

Fire rescue personnel from Fort Lauderdale, Lauderhill, and Plantation also responded. The initial report from BSFR was nine injured, but the list later included one more victim.

According to Battalion Chief Michael B. Kane, a spokesman for BSFR, the injured were getting treatment at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.

“All injuries are non-life-threatening,” Kane wrote in a statement.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
