A plea for help: Fort Lauderdale boy asks for stolen emotional support pets to be returned

Boy asks thief to return French Bulldogs Brownie and Luna

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Six-year-old Anthony and his two dogs, Brownie and Luna, were inseparable until a thief recently climbed a fence and stole them from his home in Fort Lauderdale.

Through tears, Anthony’s mother, Veronica Chacon, said on Friday that the French Bulldogs were his emotional support animals.

Anthony said they were more than that.

“My dogs would protect me from anything — for real,” Anthony said.

That sense of safety is gone for him and his family. They asked the public for help and offered a reward.

Surveillance video shows the thief’s break-in was at about 6 a.m., on a Saturday, near the intersection of Northwest Fourth Street and 15 Way.

“Please bring them back to my house,” Anthony said. “I really want to see them; they were always so nice to me.”
